The song is also on the opening of Battle Royale, so it caught my attention fast. The odd humor within the video as well as the features shown without saying a single word make this a very exciting video. I have no idea what the jewel means, but damn, I really want to play this game. It just looks fun. I haven’t had real “fun” playing a game in a while and this looks to be the game changer.

See what I did there? eh? EH?

Now, I’m not one to gush over a game, but holy shit. Seeing all of the footage from people play the StarCraft II beta is getting me so excited.

The fact that it’s also pretty “exclusive” (unless you’re willing to pay 400 dollars for the chance) is making it a bit of a tease.

If I’m a fanboy of anything, it’s Halo and Starcraft. At least for Halo 3, and the upcoming Halo: Reach, I was able to be in the beta. Public betas are always win, in my book.

Even though I haven’t been keeping a REALLY close eye on Starcraft II since Blizzcon, I’ve been wanting a sequel for as long as I can remember. I’m not just into the crazy games either like playing Risk and Tank D, but I want to finish the story. I’m definitely a fanboy for this franchise and I’ve even bought the books, shirts, and posters. I want to see what happens with Jim Raynor, The Queen of Blades Kerrigan, and the rest of them. It’s exciting.

BTW, some of the best footage I’ve seen has been uploaded by Welp, so check that shit out. I mean, this, and also it’s next part here, is what gets me so pumped to jump back into the game.

I got hooked into World of Warcraft by Dustin last summer and it took a NASTY toll on me. I wanted to stay logged in as much as I possibly could. I wanted to get better. Blow through quests with the grind and reach lvl 80. Well, I did. What now?

When I had started, Dustin was already lvl 80 and dicking around doing his “dailies” while I went through the starting area with my main, for the only time only, character Kimsecks. I finally hit level 80 and began to say “Gearing up time!” I went looking for heroics, dungeons, and anything else a group with an 80 full of blue equipment would let me do.

I eventually got good enough gear to start groups for things and I ended up with better equipment than Dustin, which made me laugh. We were both DPS (he is now also a tank) and I would always do better than him. I had the ability to group with 4 randoms and he did not. He lacked the patience to handle if there was a dick in his group and told him he was bad and would /ragequit before finishing the instance. So while he was offline, I would spend tons of time in instances getting better and better at a game he should have already mastered in my journey to reach 80.

A few patches later, Random Dungeon finding had been introducing and took what I saw was an already easy and fun, albeit slow paced, quest to gear up within your server into something much, much easier. Now, keep in mind that I had barely started after they had already made everything “easier” to so many hardcore WoW players, so for me to have already had it easy and say that this is too easy, means a lot in my mind.

So once Dustin started to gain the ability to play without me, I started to lose interest. I didn’t do the winter holiday event and pretty much logged in every other day for a random. Now I read that Dustin has gained the title of the Love Fool, I see how far behind I’ve gotten in my lack of interest. I still pay for my subscription without ever logging in. It’s like a constant reminder that I’m not playing, but it’s the ONLY reminder that I’m not playing. It’s like it doesn’t matter anymore. After recruiting others to play, I am the one to falter in my faith in the gear attaining quest.

Maybe once Cataclysm comes out and it takes less than a week to get Full tier 9 sets, I’ll hop back on. By that time, Dustin will probably be 85 and bored.

So as I was surfing on the internet, as I do from time to time, I came across this article on Kotaku.

Link

It made me smile for some reason. Just something about a bunch of spartans dancing makes me think of the possibilities to ruin the halo universe for me. It’s bad enough that it’s always under fire from fanboys of other consoles and overly defended in retarded “u dnt lke h4l0 cuz ur fagz” logic by it’s fans, but it reaches the point of over enthusiastic cosplay, it’s time to realize it’s gotten slightly out of hand.

It’s still fun to watch though. Enjoy.
