Writer’s Block
by TheKittyMan on Feb.16, 2010, under Blogging
I’ve never been one for holidays. Truth be told, I hate Valentine’s day. Multiple reasons.
-Corporate Bullshit Holiday
-I’m Single
-People saying ValenTIMES Day
-I’m SINGLE
-I write poetry that’s sad and nothing makes me more sad than a holiday intended for something I’m not
This is usually something I’ve been used to all of my life, but this year I couldn’t think of ANYTHING. I’ve been so confused in my personal life, the ups and the downs, that I couldn’t think of anything to write. I couldn’t write something generic and loving or completely depressing and hateful. I feel a bit disappointed in that.
I know that I like to only write when I’m inspired, good or bad, but I would think that I could at least write something for Valentine’s day considering that I’ve been a giant mixture of emotions recently. I guess I’m so confused in my own thoughts that I just can’t write anything right now.
I really was hoping to write something. ANYTHING. Oh well. There’s always next year.
I Want My Piece of The Bathroom Stall Wall
by TheKittyMan on Feb.16, 2010, under Blogging
I’m watching Heckler and it’s amazing. I know that some of it seems to be Jamie Kennedy challenging people because they don’t like his movies, but that’s the point. What’s the effect when critics and hecklers get asked why they feel the way that they do. Gathering a collection of actors, filmmakers, comedians, and critics to discuss criticism and it’s effect on those who actually perform and create.
In a way, this is a certain type of movie that needs to be made. It was done by Jamie Kennedy and his films have been shit on by many reviewers and critics, so he used this as a platform to bring up a certain issue and also bring to light his views and feelings of his own personal experiences.
One remark about the internet made me laugh. Paraphrased, “The internet is like the writing on the bathroom wall.”
I’m really proud of my piece of wall I’m creating. I’m hoping it becomes the building. Sure, they were basically saying that the internet gives everybody, including the terrible Perez Hilton, a voice to completely shit on everything, but I like to think that I’m going to be a part of the better side of the internet. Something with integrity and humor. If anything, entertaining. Even if it’s entertaining like a dancing monkey is entertaining.
I may not be perfect, extremely educated, overly articulate, or even funny, but I still feel as if what I have to say matters. Or at least I can have the ability to give those who have something to say the chance to be heard.
Crazy times ahead…
Met RiotMonster This Weekend
by TheKittyMan on Feb.14, 2010, under Blogging
Yep. I did. I met Riot, but unfortunately the trip I went on wasn’t as smooth as I had hoped it would have been, but I still had a great time.
Maybe next time I’ll get the chance to actually hang out with Riot instead of just seeing her at work, but things happen. I only got one picture of her and it’s not a good one. I’ll upload it later.
Overall, trip was ok. Nothing really special to say about it other than the fact that I did another FAP podcast, which I already posted about. I met some nice people. Hope to talk to them more later, if possible.
Riot giggles a lot. A LOT. It’s sort of funny. She’s nice in person, too.
Something I think might not be true about Dustin since I might end up punching him at least once in the arm the first time he says something dumb. Then we’d get drunk and forget all about it. Fun times? Definitely.

Finished Recording FAP 36
by TheKittyMan on Feb.14, 2010, under Blogging
It seems that FAP, or Freakin Awesome Podcast, enjoys having me around. John and the rest of FAP seem to think I’m sort of funny. At least interesting enough to go back for a second time.
This time was a little less planned out. I was in a hotel and out of town. I hadn’t done anything new, but I got to comment on what the others had done. Overall, it was a great time. Some crazy things happened. They might even have a weird bloopers and outtakes episode of what keeps happening during the recordings.
Be on the lookout for me representing TGZ on this podcast and other places very soon.
